Meet Our Board of DirectorsCONGRADULATIONS TO THE NEWLY ELECTEDBOARD OF DIRECTORS!!!
Shortly thereafter, not more than 30 to 45 minutes later, the newly elected Board took the initiative and immediately elected their Chairman and Vice-Chairman for the Board itself. This immediate call to action is definitely seen as a departure from the past and was a welcome move and well received by the general membership of the community that night. We in the Liberian Comunity here in Southern California, look forward to the positive effect of our newly elected officials on the Community, the planning of its events, the raising of much needed funds to run the organization and the speedy and thorough decision making process that we can expect from their leadership. There was also a fund-raising SIP held before and after the election with more delicious Liberian cuisine served and sold at reasonable prices. The newly elected Board Members are as follows: 1. Mr. Charles Yarzieh - Chairman 2. Mr. Alex Bowier - Vice Chairman 3. Mr. Shaffa Washington 4. Mr. Elmo Dinkins 5. Mrs. Williette Azango Dozier 6. Mr. Joseph Kumeh 7. Mr. Fredrick T. Gibson Biographies on each of these newly elected officials will be posted to this site shortly. Also, the amount of funds raised by the organization so far through the first and second SIPs will be posted here in the near future as well. The current administration, lead by our President, Mr. Lewis Free, would like to thank all those who came out and supported this worthy cause for our organization. We fully intend to help it grow, giving it all the support it needs so that it can rise to its fullest potential as everyone gives a little bit of their time, effort and energy to make it what it's supposed to be for all of us. So once again we say a big... Thank You All!!!(To see pictures of the event, click HERE...)
